About Greg

As a native Virginian, I consider it a privilege to have spent most of my life in the southwestern section of the state. My boyhood home, Galax, was only a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and my earliest and best memories include trips and picnics along this famous, scenic drive. My adult years have been spent in the Roanoke Valley, which is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains and in close proximity to the parkway. Within a two hour drive from my home are a variety of places where the beauty of nature can be fully experienced: one national park, two national forests, a dozen state parks, the Appalachian Trail, the New and James Rivers and numerous other sites. All my images are located within the borders of Virginia, from the Eastern Shore to the Cumberland Gap.
